Here's a poem I wrote this afternoon to describe my friendship with Arnie...
Rejection

Rejection is Fear
It hurts me so bad
The words are locked in my mind
In eternal darkness
It hurts when you say "no"
It hurts to say "I Love You"
I wish I could, but I'm too afraid
It haunts me, day and night
Afraid you'll say "no"
Afraid of Rejection"

"The fear is contained in my heart
No one could love, a strange person as myself
The pain of hatred burns in my soul
It kills me to talk to you, or even smile at you
I loved you, since the first time I saw you
I know you don't like me the same way, but I will always love you
I'm afraid to admit it
Afraid of loving you
Afraid of Heartbreak"

"I may live sad and alone, but your friends and family will love you
I hope you will be very happy
Whereas it's hard to admit that to you
Afraid of weakness
Afraid of Rejection"

Very good, and, poor you...

Thank you. This is my first serious poem, it describes my relationship with Arnie and how i'm just afraid he'll say no to me...

Rejection Part II

A cloud surrounds my mind and shades my positive views
My heart continues to ache
Pounding until it wants to bleed
It will never end, will it?
Your voice echoes in my mind, paining me every hour
Every minute
Every second....

The darkness has taken over my life
Depression rests in my soul
My love for you is deep, but it is shadowed by my sadness
I try to talk to you, but you just run away
My tears aren't enough, to show you...
I love you, no matter what.
I won't ever admit it, because...
I know your answer is no...

I dream about you all night
It hurts to think about it
The heartache stinging my mind
In my dreams, we are truly in love
but, in reality, it's a nightmare
If you do love me, everything will be okay
I love you back, and nothing will change that....
