Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Diamond

Okay, i think i'm about done with Diamond, i really want Darkrai though, my friend's Action Replay is totally frying my DS though...
I also have Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness, but i'm stuck on Groudon, he keeps killing my partner. Should i restart the game and get a better team? I'm Pikachu and my partner is Chimchar...

no what you want to do is back track hold off on the mission a little and get a bunch of oran berry's and reviver seeds, and make sure that they are in your bag and on top of that you don't use then till you get to groundon, also if chimchar knows smoke screen have it set to use that nifty little skill. also if you're having trouble at groundon can't wait to see what you do when you get to dialga. beat him on my brothers game as a skity and hos partner a cyndaquil.

Ok, i'll try that.... it's just the Volbeats and the Magmars are really annoying, especially when your fire partner can't beat Magmar....

well in that case make sure he has at least one non fire type move, i believe he learns scratch some where along the line.

He had Fury Swipes, but it always missed...

hmmmmm might want to level up as well some times you need to be stronger then you are, i know i had to power level like mad.

Can i run away from the dungeon battles?

yeah you can keep an eye on your radar on what ever screen you have it on and when you see red, if possible go the opposite direction.

Okay, but the pokemon sneak up on you....
Just keep finding paths to ditch them?

basicly and make sure your partner stays close it's easy to lose him/her even with the let's go together command.

Okay, is there anyway to tell how many Life Points Groudon has?
I just keep putting him to sleep, paralyzing, or confusing him...

I beleive there is an item that you equip and you can, how ever i have not found it yet. neither has my brother,
